“For the best interest of the public and in the name of transparency, we dare the Duterte government to compel big-time oil cartels to have their books of accounts opened for public scrutiny especially on their practices of oil overpricing and other forms of pricing manipulation,” ani Casilao.

“It would only take less than a day for the government to issue an executive order compelling big-time oil companies to specify in details their processes of price increases and impose a price control subsequently,” dagdag pa niya.

“All it would take is President Duterte’s strong and determined political will to safeguard the public interest against corporate greed and exploitation of oil monopolies.”
