FILIPINOS will face another increase in fuel prices, with gasoline, diesel, and kerosene costs rising by nearly P1 per liter starting Tuesday.
Shell Pilipinas, Cleanfuel, PetroGazz, and Seaoil announced separate price adjustments on Monday. Diesel will increase by ₱0.95 per liter, gasoline by ₱0.60 per liter, and kerosene by ₱0.30 per liter.
This marks the fourth consecutive week of gasoline price hikes.
Industry sources attribute the upward trend to ongoing geopolitical instability, supply concerns, and increased global demand. Jetti Petroleum’s Leo Bellas recently cited stronger demand for gasoline and diesel, driven by the summer driving season in the northern hemisphere, coupled with reduced regional supply due to refinery maintenance and lower exports from China.
The rising fuel costs are expected to further impact the prices of goods and services across the country.
