ACTING Trade Secretary Cristina Roque said on they might release the price guide for Noche Buena products next month.
This is because the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is still studying whether they will grant the requested price adjustments by manufacturers.
“I still have to discuss with the Fairtrade Consumer Protection Group. But for now, our stand is no price increase,” Roque said.
Over the past two weeks, the official mentioned that the scope of products this year that manufacturers are requesting price adjustments for is broader compared to last year.
In 2023, there was an increase in the prices of ham and fruit cocktail.
