
THE BSP is closely coordinating with BPI in relation to the double debit transaction incident affecting BPI accountholders.
In a statement, the Bank already identified the root cause of the operational error and committed to reverse the erroneous transactions and restore mobile and internet banking services the soonest possible.

On Wednesday, netizens complained of losing money in their accounts, as a result of the so-called “0431 Debit Memo”, which had trended on Twitter Philippines.
The BPI’s online app was down for users on Wednesday, in addition to the transaction errors.
