THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday that another low pressure area might develop as tropical depression ‘Dodong’ exited the Philippine Area of Resposibility (PAR).
Pagasa said that they are not discounting the possibility that these cloud clusters could develop into an LPA in the coming days.
It added the southwest monsoon or “habagat” is the lone weather system affecting the country.
Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro and the northern portion of Palawan will have monsoon rains that could trigger floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, occasional rains will prevail in Metro Manila, Western Visayas, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan).
The rest of Luzon will have overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated downpour or thunderstorms.
