TO facilitate the movement of cargoes to and from the Manila Ports, the Port Management Office of NCR-South conducted road-clearing operations along the port access roads.
The inter-agency operations dismantled several structures, towed illegally parked vehicles, and issued violation citation tickets to erring motorists while driving out vehicles without proof of business transactions with the port.
As a follow-up operation, port police vehicles patrol the identified vital areas to maintain the efficient road utilization level in preparation for the run-up to Christmas.
The clearing operations is in coordination with the Metro Manila Development Authority, Manila Police District Station 12, MPD Traffic Enforcement Unit, MPD Special Weapons and Tactics, Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB), Department of Public Services (DPS), and Manila International Container Terminal operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI).
