The Grun officials were accompanied by consultant Mar T Supnad, 3rd left.

BENT on investing billions of pesos on renewable energy, top officials of a multi-national company based in Tokyo, Japan lauded Tuesday personnel of Department of Energy in Bonifacio Global city.

Impressed by their hospitality and accommodating, Garry Carl S. Froa, and Joel Esparrago, Chairman and President of the Grun Architekten Construction Gruppe, Inc. respectively, and Erika D Froa, a Japanese-Filipina and president of Garnet International Corp, based in Tokyo, expressed appreciation to Rodel S. Limbaga, head of DOE’s EPIMB; Gelo Africa and their staff for accommodating and extending information assistance to the company officials who are mulling in putting up 100 MW waste-to-energy (WtE) in Bataan, a P35 billion renewable energy project.

Grun Architekten, Froa said, will set up what the company official described as the first ever latest technology in WtE, saying they are also mulling to put up 300 hectares Solar farm, also in Bataan’s Second district.

“Mr Limbaga and his staff are very supportive, hospitable and accommodating and such kind of government employees derserve be to lauded and promoted,” pointed out the Froas.

It was learned that Grun Architekten has earlier written then Governor Abet S Garcia, now newly-elected Congressman of Bataan’s Second district; Mayor Robin Tagle of Abucay town, where it signified its intention to invest tens of billions of pesos in Bataan not only in renewable and clean energy but also in five-star hotel, general hospital that includes the state-of-the art stem cell, housing project, sea port, palm oil, among others.

In their appreciation for trusting to invest in Bataan, Gov Garcia and Mayor Tagle expressed gratitude to Chairman Froa and his Japanese funders. The Grun architekten which has also a local office in Metro Manila is now on the process of securing permits and documentation of its projects.

“Just imagine, we were the ones who needed their assistance and yet they ( DOE personnel) were the ones who provided us free snacks and necessary informations needed by our firm to successfully implement our power plant projects,” said Chairman Froa.

Chairman Froa added that once they have completed the permits and other required documents “we can then immediately start the ball rolling as we and our Japanese funders are also in a hurry to implement these projects that could generate income and employment to the Filipino people.”
