THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Saturday said the shear line (Tail-end of Frontal System) will be affecting the eastern section of northern Luzon while the northeast monsoon will be affecting the rest of northern Luzon.
In its early morning forecast, Pagasa said Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Palawan, Albay, Masbate, and Sorsogon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the shear line / northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
