JIMUEL Pacquiao, world champ Manny’s first born, won his second straight amateur fight in the United States on Friday (Manila time).
The victory of 21-year-old Pacquiao, came just two months after he defeated Mexican-American Andres Rosales in his first amateur bout in the US.
Pacquiao showed his aggressiveness from the opening bell en route to a unanimous decision win over Johnathan Barajas in a three-rounder.
The fight, held at Montebello Country Club in California and shown on UFC Fight Pass, was a special attraction bout under Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions. Among the spectators at ringside was UFC president Dana White, who had his photo taken later on with the young Pacquiao and MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons.
In the main event, Irish prospect Callum Walsh (3-0, 3KOs) stopped Luis Garcia in the first round.
