MORE than 400,000 Maynilad customers across parts of Metro Manila and Bulacan will experience a water service interruption starting Saturday evening, October 10, through Sunday afternoon, October 11.
The scheduled suspension affects approximately 412,000 households in sections of Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, Quezon City, as well as the municipalities of Meycauayan and Obando in Bulacan. Service will be cut off at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and is expected to be fully restored by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The interruption is necessary to carry out critical maintenance works on a major pipeline situated along General Luis Street in Novaliches, Quezon City. The repair and upkeep are designed to ensure long‑term supply reliability and prevent larger, unplanned outages in the future. Residents in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water for drinking, hygiene, and essential household use before the suspension takes effect.
Maynilad has arranged for water tankers to be deployed throughout the impacted communities to provide clean potable water while repairs are underway. The utility urged customers to exercise patience and cooperate with distribution schedules, noting that restoration may happen in phases as pressure stabilizes across the network once work is completed.
