SPEAKER Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III leads the ceremonial turnover of checks to 108 state universities and colleges (SUCs) during the Affirmation of Compliance and Commitment to Settle the Free Higher Education Deficiency at Andaya Hall on Thursday.
The turnover is part of the government’s effort to address funding deficiencies in its free higher education program. House Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Mikaela Angela B. Suansing said the House will continue working with the Commission on Higher Education, the Department of Budget and Management, and SUCs to address the underlying causes of those deficiencies.
