A FIRE broke out at the Land Transportation Office – National Capital Region (LTO‑NCR) office along G. Araneta Avenue in Barangay Santo Domingo, Quezon City on Sunday morning, September 20. The blaze was first reported at approximately 11:00 a.m. and was immediately raised to a first‑alarm status as firefighters arrived to contain the flames.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is currently investigating exactly which floor the fire originated from, as initial assessments have not yet pinpointed the source. Fire officials have also not released an estimate of the total damage to the building, equipment, and documents at this time. No injuries have been reported so far, but operations to fully extinguish the fire and clear the area remain ongoing.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid the vicinity of G. Araneta Avenue to give way to emergency vehicles and response teams. The LTO‑NCR has yet to announce whether office operations will be suspended or relocated while the facility is assessed and repaired.
