OFFICIALS of the House of Representatives and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), led by Deputy Speaker Maria Rachel Arenas and AIPA Secretary-General H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, mark the conclusion of the three-day Capacity Development Programme for the House Secretariat on Thursday, September 3, at the House of Representatives in Quezon City.
The program, held from September 1 to 3, strengthened the House Secretariat’s capabilities in AIPA processes, parliamentary diplomacy, consensus-building, committee procedures, and the preparation of parliamentary documents as part of the Philippines’ preparations for the 47th AIPA General Assembly in Manila.
The final day featured a coordination briefing with the chairs of AIPA standing committees and Philippine delegates, focusing on draft resolutions, collaborative planning, and their respective responsibilities for the upcoming General Assembly.
