A PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) flight bound for Hong Kong from Manila was held back on Thursday morning following an alleged bomb threat that prompted strict security checks at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Identified as Flight PR 300, the aircraft was temporarily grounded as authorities moved to verify the report and ensure the safety of everyone on board.
According to a report from Luisito Santos over Super Radyo dzBB, the Philippine National Police‑Aviation Security Unit (PNP‑AVSEU) conducted a thorough sweep of the plane and later officially declared it free of any explosives or suspicious items. PAL confirmed the incident in a statement, describing it only as a “security concern” and saying it followed all standard safety protocols in coordination with airport authorities.
After receiving the all‑clear signal, the airline proceeded to prepare the aircraft for departure, with ground crews assisting passengers and updating them on the flight status. “The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain Philippine Airlines’ highest priority,” the carrier said, thanking travelers for their patience and cooperation throughout the inspection process.
