COMMUTERS no longer need to worry about crossing the area formerly known as “Mt. The area formerly known as “Mt. Kamuning,” a steep and challenging part of EDSA, no longer has a direct connection to the busway station.
Under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., a new footbridge has been constructed, featuring an elevator, wheelchair lift, and direct access to the Kamuning Busway Station. The project also included improvements such as expanded platforms, waiting sheds, better lighting, and clear wayfinding signage.
This new infrastructure aims to make travel safer, faster, and more comfortable for commuters. It is expected to increase the daily passenger volume at Kamuning Station from 3,000–5,000 to as many as 8,000, providing a significant boost to public transportation accessibility in the area.
