PHILIPPINE embassies in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Jordan are advising Filipino citizens to limit their movement due to ongoing Iranian retaliatory actions in the Middle East. These actions follow a joint Israeli-United States military operation on Saturday (Feb. 28, 2026).

The advisories come as Iran has reportedly bombarded several areas in the region. The situation remains fluid and potentially dangerous, prompting the Philippine government to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its citizens.

US President Donald Trump stated that the objective of the joint operation was “to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,” citing its “menacing activities” that directly endanger the United States, its troops, overseas bases, and allies worldwide.

In response, Iran has accused the US and Israel of military aggression and has vowed to respond in a “decisive and powerful manner.” The Philippine government is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant authorities to provide assistance and support to Filipinos in the affected areas.
