A FIRE that broke out in a residential area in Makati City early Saturday killed two senior citizens and injured six individuals, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR).
In its report, BFP-NCR said that the fire occurred at D. Gomez St. Cor. Sandico St. Brgy. Tejeros, Makati City around 1:50 a.m.
The fire reached the first alarm at 1:55 a.m., the second alarm at 1:59 a.m., and the third alarm at 2:35 p.m. It was declared under control at 4:26 a.m. and extinguished at 6:40 a.m.
BFP-NCR reported two fatalities from the incident: a 69-year-old female and a 70-year-old male. Aside from this, the fire injured six individuals, with the youngest at 20 years old and the oldest at 81 years old.
The agency also said that as of 7 a.m., the fire has affected 126 families or 366 individuals.
