FIVE bodies were found by rescuers floating on the waters off Davao Occidental on Saturday, authorities said.
Commodore Philip Soria, commander of the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao, told GMA News that four were found by Coast Guard auxiliaries who volunteered for the search and rescue operations.
The bodies are believed to be among the 15 persons missing since Monday after their recreational boat sank in the Davao Gulf.
Another body was found in another search sector by a coast guard aircraft.
Soria said they have informed the Navy, which has a ship deployed nearest the area, to do the retrieval of the bodies.
