DESPITE the suspension of government office operations from December 29 to 31, the Parañaque City Land Tax Division will remain open to accept real property tax (RPT) payments, according to City Treasurer Dr. Anthony Pulmano.
Pulmano said the land tax office, located on the ground floor of City Hall in Barangay San Antonio, will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon during the said dates. However, the Express Lingkod Office on the 4th floor, IT Zone, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, will be closed.
He also encouraged property owners to avail themselves of the 16 percent discount for advance payment of RPT for calendar year 2026, stressing that the deadline is December 31 this year and that no extension will be granted.
For calendar year 2026, taxpayers opting for quarterly payments may settle their RPT without interest on the following deadlines: on or before March 31 for the first quarter; June 30 for the second quarter; September 30 for the third quarter; and December 31, 2026 for the fourth quarter.
Failure to pay RPT within the prescribed periods will result in an interest charge of 2 percent per month on the outstanding amount, or any fraction thereof, until fully paid. The total interest, however, shall not exceed 36 months.
