BALANGA CITY, Bataan- A top official of the DTI/ Board of Investment urged investors to invest in Bataan, saying “all the elements investors want is in Bataan.”
Speaking during the Semiconductor and Electronics Summit Friday held at Tourism Pavilion, DTI Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo, who is also the managing head of BOI, cited what he told investors to look at Bataan with its strategic location “and the best time to go to (invest) in Bataan.”
Usec Rodolfo also cited the infrastructure projects in the province such as access roads in Bataan where the State-owned AFAB, Hermosa ecozone, SBMA and others are located. Seventy percent more or less of the whole area of SBMA is within the political boundary of Bataan or large part of SBMA belongs to Bataan.
“I am telling to investors to look, go and invest in Bataan,”said Usec Rodolfo, citing the incentives the investors may avail in AFAB and SBMA. The Semiconductor and Electronics Summit was spearheaded and brainchild of Rep. Gila Garcia, 3rd district, who invited representatives from national government agencies, local officials, industry leaders, the academe and the media in her bid to strengthen efforts to promote the province’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem.
“This will earn trillions of pesos,” Rep. Garcia told newsmen. Meanwhile, Gov Joet S Garcia also discussed the clear direction and purpose of the province, saying “ang malinaw na direksyon at matibay na adhikain ng ating Lalawigan na maging isang pangunahing sentro ng mga namumuhunan kabilang na ang mga nasa industriya ng semiconductor at electronics.”
Gov. Garcia cited Usec. Rodolfo, one of the guests, who also one of the signatories of the “Promotion and Facilitation of Investments at Investor Servicing” whose intention is to fast-track the entry of the investors assuring the immediate, efficient and investor-friendly support of Bataan.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga dumalong kapwa ko lingkod-bayan, mga locators, kinatawan ng business sector at academe, at higit sa lahat, kay Cong. Gila Garcia na siyang punong-abala para maging posible ang pagtitipong ito at upang sama-sama nating maisulong ang isang mas matatag, makabago, at masaganang kinabukasan para sa ating probinsya,” added Gov. Garcia
