Sarah Discaya’s license revoked amid graft inquiry

admin September 3, 2025

SARAH Discaya, the controversial contractor at the center of a flood control project corruption probe, has had her license revoked, according to sources within the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The move comes as investigations intensify into alleged irregularities and “ghost projects” linked to Discaya’s companies, which have secured billions of pesos in government contracts.

The revocation effectively bars Discaya from bidding on or undertaking any new government infrastructure projects.

The decision to revoke Discaya’s license is a significant development in the ongoing investigation. It signals a serious intent by the government to hold accountable those found responsible for alleged corruption and mismanagement in the implementation of flood control projects.

The Senate and House of Representatives are both conducting inquiries into the matter, with evidence suggesting potential collusion and substandard work in numerous projects across the country.

The revocation of Discaya’s license raises questions about the fate of ongoing projects involving her companies and the potential impact on flood control efforts nationwide.

It also puts other contractors on notice that the government is taking a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and will not hesitate to take action against those who violate regulations and engage in fraudulent practices.

The investigation is expected to continue, with further revelations and potential charges against individuals and companies involved in the alleged scam.
