PUBLIC Works Secretary Vince Dizon drew a hard line Monday, stating that contractors who engage in ‘ghost projects’ will be blacklisted for life from all government projects.
This is one of the first directives Dizon will issue as the new chief of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
During a Palace briefing, Dizon also announced that he would order a “sweeping revamp” of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB).
In addition to these measures, Dizon stated that he would order the courtesy resignation of all DPWH officials, from “top to bottom,” including undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, division heads, regional directors, and district engineers in all DPWH offices nationwide. These actions signal a strong commitment to addressing corruption and ensuring accountability within the DPWH.
