Another round of fuel price rollbacks announced

admin July 7, 2025

MOTORISTS will see a slight decrease in petroleum product prices this week, as several major oil companies announced a new round of rollbacks effective Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. will lower gasoline prices by ₱0.70 per liter, diesel by ₱0.10 per liter, and kerosene by ₱0.80 per liter.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz Ventures Philippines Corp., and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement similar adjustments, excluding kerosene as they do not carry the product. The rollbacks will take effect at 6:00 a.m. for Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell, while Cleanfuel will adjust prices at 8:01 a.m. on the same day.

While the rollbacks offer some relief, they are unlikely to fully offset the significant price increases implemented earlier this year.

Other oil companies have yet to announce their price adjustments for the week, but the announced reductions represent a modest decrease in fuel costs.

The extent to which these rollbacks will impact consumers will depend on the pricing decisions of remaining oil companies and the overall market dynamics. The ongoing fluctuation in global oil prices continues to affect the local fuel market, leaving motorists to anticipate further price changes in the coming weeks and months.
