PETRON and Solane, two major liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) providers in the Philippines, announced another round of price reductions, effective Tuesday, July 1.
Both companies will lower their LPG prices by ₱1 per kilogram. The price adjustments will take effect at 12:01 a.m. for Petron and 6:00 a.m. for Solane. This marks the second consecutive month of price rollbacks for both companies, offering some relief to consumers grappling with rising costs of living.
The timing of the rollbacks, coming at the start of the month, may provide some financial respite for many households.
The price reductions follow previous rollbacks implemented in June, suggesting a potential trend of decreasing LPG prices.
While the exact reasons behind the price adjustments remain unstated, the rollbacks could be attributed to a combination of factors, including global market conditions and domestic supply dynamics.
Consumers will likely welcome this latest price decrease, particularly given the essential role of LPG in many Filipino households for cooking and heating. The continued monitoring of LPG prices will be crucial in assessing the long-term impact on household budgets.
