Pagasa monitors LPA east of Luzon

Metrosundaily July 1, 2025

THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is closely monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA) located east of Luzon.

While the LPA has not yet developed into a tropical depression, Pagasa announced on Tuesday, July 1, that the agency has not ruled out the possibility of such development in the coming days.

The agency is closely tracking the LPA’s movement and intensity, issuing regular updates to keep the public informed. Residents in areas potentially affected are advised to stay vigilant and monitor weather bulletins for any significant changes in the LPA’s status.

Pagasa emphasized the importance of preparedness, urging the public to take necessary precautions and stay informed through official channels.

The agency will continue to monitor the LPA’s progress and provide timely updates on its potential intensification and track.

Further information regarding potential rainfall, wind speeds, and any associated hazards will be disseminated as the situation develops. The public is encouraged to consult Pagasa’s official website and social media accounts for the most up-to-date weather information.
