SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez has expressed his sympathies over the passing of ANGAT Party-list Rep. Reynaldo S. Tamayo Sr.,
remembering him as a committed lawmaker who quietly worked to serve the needs of his constituents.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Rep. Reynaldo Tamayo Sr. He was a quiet but committed worker in Congress. He was focused, sincere and always attentive to the needs of the people he represented,” Speaker Romualdez said.
Tamayo represented the ANGAT Party-list, championing policies to strengthen agriculture and ensure that government support for farmers and rural communities was responsive and properly targeted.
He was known among his peers as a principled legislator who kept a low profile but worked with quiet determination to improve the lives of those in the countryside.
“He didn’t seek attention, but his contributions were consistent and meaningful. He pushed for programs that aimed to give people a better shot at a decent life,” Speaker Romualdez said.
The leader of the 306-member House of Representatives said Tamayo will be remembered as a public servant who carried out his responsibilities with seriousness and integrity.
“On behalf of the House, I extend my condolences to his family, loved ones and constituents. We are grateful for his service and mourn his loss,” the Speaker said.
