Marcos inspects upgraded NAIA Terminal 3, commits improved travel experience

admin June 3, 2025

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally inspected the newly upgraded facilities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on June 3, 2025, underscoring the administration’s commitment to enhancing the country’s airports and providing a superior travel experience for passengers.

The visit served as a progress check following the handover of NAIA Terminal 3 operations to the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC).

President Marcos received a comprehensive briefing on the NNIC’s achievements since assuming operational control. This briefing detailed the improvements implemented to streamline passenger flow and enhance overall airport efficiency. Following the briefing, the President embarked on a thorough walkthrough of several key areas within the terminal.

His inspection included a review of the modernized Immigration Area, designed to expedite processing times. He also visited the newly established Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Immigration Annex, the OFW Lounge and Rest Area, providing dedicated facilities to cater to the specific needs of Filipino workers returning home.

Furthermore, President Marcos assessed the improved Transportation Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) area and the Arrival curbside area, focusing on passenger convenience and accessibility.

The President’s visit signals a renewed focus on improving the overall passenger experience at NAIA. The upgrades implemented by the NNIC aim to address long-standing concerns regarding congestion, inefficiencies, and inadequate facilities.

This direct engagement by the President underscores the administration’s dedication to transforming NAIA into a world-class airport, capable of meeting the demands of both domestic and international travelers.

The inspection serves as a clear indication of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize the country’s infrastructure and bolster its tourism sector.
