Duterte transferred to Camp Crame

admin March 11, 2025

FORMER president Rodrigo Duterte has been transferred to Camp Crame, the national police headquarters in Quezon City, following his arrest earlier today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The transfer was confirmed by Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson PNP spokesperson and Information Office chief, Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.

Duterte, who was arrested on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for crimes against humanity, was initially held upon his arrival from Hong Kong. The move to Camp Crame is standard procedure for high-profile detainees.

Details regarding the specific charges and the ongoing legal proceedings remain limited at this time.

However, the PNP spokesperson reiterated the commitment to transparency and due process throughout the investigation and subsequent legal battles. The spokesperson also confirmed that Duterte is receiving appropriate medical care and is being held in a secure facility within Camp Crame.

Further updates will be provided as they become available. The international community is closely watching the developments in this high-stakes case, given Duterte’s controversial tenure as president.
