Tarlac Rep. Charlie Cojuangco dies at 58

TARLAC 1st District Representative Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco has passed away.

This was confirmed by his wife China Jocson.

“It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you that my husband, Claudia and Jaime’s father, Carlos ‘Charlie’ Cojuangco, has passed away,” Jocson wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

“Details of the wake and interment to follow. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. -China, Claudia and Jaime,” the post read.

Cojuangco’s brother Mark also confirmed the news to Super Radyo dzBB, according to a report by Isa Umali, saying Charlie passed away at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Cojuangco, 58, son of businessman Eduardo Cojuangco Jr., married Jocson, a former Kapuso broadcast journalist, in Tarlac last October. He was previously married to actress and TV host Rio Diaz who passed away in 2004.
