SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Saturday condoled with Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong, Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr. and the entire Adiong family on the death of former Gov. Soraya Alonto Adiong.
The head of the 307-strong House expressed his and the chamber’s “deepest condolences” to the Adiongs on the passing of the former Lanao del Sur governor.
“Her passing is a profound loss not only to her family but to the people she selflessly served,” Speaker Romualdez said.
“Governor Soraya was a devoted matriarch and an extraordinary leader whose unwavering commitment and courage profoundly impacted her constituents. During the Marawi Siege, she stood as a symbol of hope and strength, working tirelessly with the Armed Forces and national agencies to safeguard lives and restore resilience during one of the province’s darkest times,” he said.
He said the late former governor’s “hands-on leadership bridged the gap between the provincial government and the people it served.”
“She made it her mission to listen to every community’s concerns, ensuring no voice was unheard and no need unmet. Her compassion, dedication, and service defined her tenure and set an enduring example of true public service,” he added.
Addressing himself to Rep. Zia and Gov. Mamintal, and the Adiong family, Speaker Romualdez said he and his House colleagues “share in your grief and honor the legacy of a leader who devoted her life to uplifting others.”
“Governor Soraya’s memory will continue to inspire generations and serve as a guiding light for Lanao del Sur and beyond. May you find comfort in the lasting impact of her life’s work and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and leadership,” he said.
Former Gov. Alonto Adiong’s relatives and friends announced her death on Friday. She would have turned 81 on January 7, 2025.
FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist kasama sa mga nangungunang partylist sa 2025 elections
NAKAKUHA ng momentum ang FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist sa pangunguna ni Brian Poe Llmanzares sa darating na 2025 midterm election matapos makapasok sa magandang posisyon sa isinagawang survey ng Social Weather Station (SWS).
Ang partylist ay nakakuha ng 1.73 porsyentong pagtaas sa ika-11 na puwesto sa pinakahuling SWS survey ngayong Disyembre.
Ang FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist ay nakatuon sa mga haligi ng pagkain, progreso, at hustisya, na naglalayong iangat ang mga marginalized na Pilipino at itaguyod ang isang inklusibo at sustainable na kinabukasan para sa bansa.
“Pinasasalamatan namin ang publiko sa pagkilala sa serbisyong tatak FPJ. Ang FPJ Panday Bayanihan ay patuloy na isusulong ang mga polisiyang mas inklusibo para sa lahat ng Pilipino,” ani Brian Poe, unang nominado ng Partylist.
“Karapat-dapat sa mas magandang buhay ang bawat Pilipino na makakamit lamang kapag may seguridad sa pagkain, sustainable na progreso, at mabilis na hustisya,” dagdag pa ni Poe.
Ang bisyon ng partylist ay malalim na nakaugat sa tradisyong Pilipino ng bayanihan—pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng komunidad. Ang terminong panday ay inspirasyon mula sa tinitingalang panday na karakter ni Fernando Poe Jr. at sumasalamin sa misyon ng partido na hubugin ang mas magandang kinabukasan para sa mga Pilipino at buuin ang mas matatag at makatarungang lipunan.
