TWO counts of murder have been filed against the primary suspect in the killing of a 6-year-old boy with a disability (PWD) and his 43-year-old mother, reported in Valenzuela City.
According to Valenzuela police chief P/Col. Nixon Cayaban, the case they filed against Michael Francisco, 41, of Obando, Bulacan, is strong.
The chief said that the evidence they gathered, including witness testimonies, the suspect’s confession that he killed the mother and son and then went into hiding, and CCTV footage showing him following the mother and son as they left and returned to their home, is enough to charge Francisco with two counts of murder.
It can be recalled that around 8:30 p.m. on November 19, the bodies of the mother and son were found by the victim’s other daughter when she arrived home from school.
The autopsy results showed that the mother and son died from severe head trauma caused by a blunt object.
According to a witness statement to the police, before the killing, the suspect forced the woman to use shabu.
