CONGRESSMAN Toby Tiangco expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for signing Republic Act 12052, which establishes three new Regional Trial Court (RTC) branches and two new Municipal Trial Court (MTC) branches in Navotas City.
“We extend our gratitude to President Marcos Jr. for signing RA 12052, which establishes three new RTC branches and two new MTC branches in Navotas City,” Tiangco said in a statement.
The congressman emphasized the significance of the additional court branches in addressing the heavy caseloads faced by existing courts in the city. “These additional court branches are a significant and much-needed step toward easing the heavy caseloads faced by our existing courts,” he said. “This will help ensure more timely justice and greater efficiency in resolving cases for our community.”
Tiangco also highlighted the origins of the legislation, noting that the original House Bill 3013 was filed by then-Congressman and now Mayor John Rey Tiangco. “We re-filed it to address the needs of our growing Navotas community and to help prevent delays in the resolution of cases in our local courts,” he explained.
The new law is expected to significantly improve access to justice for Navotas residents, ensuring a more efficient and timely resolution of legal matters.
