THE state weather bureau Pagasa said six areas are placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 as Tropical Storm Enteng continues to move over the West Philippine Sea (WPS) on Tuesday.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said TCWS No. 2 was raised over the following areas:
Ilocos Norte
the northern portion of Ilocos Sur (Sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo, San Ildefonso, San Vicente, Santa Catalina, City of Vigan, Bantay, Santa, Caoayan)
Apayao
Abra
the northern and western portions of Kalinga (Balbalan, Pinukpuk, Lubuagan, Pasil)
the western portion of Mainland Cagayan (Piat, Santo Nino, Camalaniugan, Tuao, Pamplona, Rizal, Claveria, Lasam, Aparri, Ballesteros, Abulug, Allacapan, Sanchez-Mira, Santa Praxedes) including Babuyan Islands (Dalupiri Is. and Fuga Is.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa said TCWS No. 1 was hoisted over the following areas:

the northern portion of La Union (Luna, Santol, San Juan, Bagulin, Bangar, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, Sudipen, Balaoan, City of San Fernando)

Pagasa said Enteng was spotted over the coastal waters of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, moving west northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour and packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph.
“Enteng is forecast to continue moving generally west northwestward over the next 24 hours and is expected to turn westward over the West Philippine Sea starting tomorrow (4 September) until it reach Hainan, China on Saturday (7 September),” Pagasa said.
Enteng may exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday morning, according to Pagasa.
“Enteng is forecast to reach severe tropical storm by this afternoon (at the earliest) or evening, and typhoon category by Thursday (5 September),” Pagasa added.
