A SHIP anchored at Navotas Centennial Park caught fire on Monday, September 2, coinciding with the strong winds sweeping through Metro Manila due to Tropical Storm Enteng.
According to the initial report from the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region, the fire started at 9 o’clock in the morning.
The BFP and the Philippine Coast Guard were on the scene, but firefighting and rescue operations were not possible due to the strong winds and high waves.
However, the 18 passengers aboard the ship were rescued.
