A HEARTBREAKING fate befell a woman who died after being stabbed by her live-in partner in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.
The victim identified as Angeline Manaois, was seen using her cellphone outside a restaurant.
After a few moments, a man approached her, who turned out to be her live-in partner, and suddenly stabbed her in the side.
The victim tried to stand up but the man returned to her and stabbed her again.
Some people passed by and saw the woman but did not help her, while some men seemed to chase after the suspect.
After a few moments, barangay officials responded.
A nurse also passed by, checked the victim’s pulse, and immediately took her to the hospital.
However, upon arrival at the hospital, the woman was reportedly declared dead on arrival.
The CCTV footage captured the suspect running away, allegedly even throwing the knife used in the crime on the street.
Ann Manaois, the victim’s mother, felt a mix of anger and grief over the brutal fate of her daughter.
The elder Manaois mentioned that her daughter and the suspect had only been living together for about two months.
Jealousy is speculated to be the root cause of the crime.
