ONE person was injured after a car was shot allegedly due to a road rage incident in Quezon City on Tuesday night.
According to the driver’s statement to the police, they were involved in a traffic altercation with a pickup truck near Welcome Rotonda, which led to the pickup truck hitting their side mirror.
The driver claimed that they were coming from España Boulevard with four relatives. He further stated that he chased and stopped the vehicle near Banawe.
He took a photo of the vehicle there but it suddenly sped away.
The drive said he inspected the damage to their car but the pickup truck allegedly returned and shot at the car injuring one of the passengers in the foot.
The pickup truck immediately fled after the shooting.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered a bullet casing from the scene. The Galas Police Station refused to provide further details about the incident while the investigation is ongoing.
The driver also declined to face the media for additional information. Police have obtained CCTV footage from Barangay Doña Josefa for backtracking.
