VETERAN actress Maricel Soriano appeared in the ongoing Senate hearing on Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs’ investigation into the so-called “PDEA Leaks” to uncover the truth behind the controversy linking several personalities to illegal drugs.
The said anti-drug document allegedly contained her name, as well as that of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
However, the PDEA already refuted the authenticity of the said document.
Soriano said it was her first time to receive an invitation from the Senate for a hearing. She added she was confused as to why she was implicated in the allegations.
In a statement read by Soriano, she said “Unang-una po hindi ko ho alam ‘yong tungkol sa mga dokumento.
In her statement, Maricel admitted being confused about being called before the Senate.
Though, the actress admitted that she owned a unit in a condominium in Rockwell in Makati City, she denied the accusations of her two house helps that the unit was used by Soriano during her cocaine sessions.
Aside from the actress, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. was also being linked by the aforementioned report to illegal drugs but he just brushed off the report.
