TO further protect themselves from becoming victims of online scams, officials and personnel of the Philippine Senate participated in an anti-cybercrime workshop conducted by a micropayment firm Monday, April 29, 2024.
In his remarks, Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. reminded personnel to always follow the cardinal rule of not spending beyond one’s means, despite the convenience provided by cashless payment systems.
Various types of scams and means to avoid them were discussed during the seminar.
Senate Deputy Sec. for Administration and Financial Services, Arnel Jose Bañas joined the employees during the event.
