FORMER beauty queen and celebrity Maggie Wilson said her 64-year-old mother has been arrested for carnapping, even when she doesn’t own a license and can’t even drive.
In her Instagram stories, Wilson said multiple police officers on Wednesday came to arrest her mother, Sonia Nales.
“She doesn’t have a license, let alone knows how to drive,” she said, adding the hashtag #OnlyInThePhilippines.
She also addressed her estranged husband Victor Consunji and indicated that she blamed him for the arrest.
While she did not name Consunji, she referred to their son in her message.
“My mother has looked after OUR son and YOU through thick and thin,” she said.
“You’ve hit a new low,” she added.
She lamented how the Philippine justice system works.
“The government wouldn’t listen, and the justice system wouldn’t listen, but I’m sure the rest of the world will,” she said. “One man is about to bring great shame to our country.”
Businessman Tim Connor also gave his take on the development and said it was an “eye-opener.”
“I am unsure how you tell your son that you had his Mother and Grandmother arrested because you were so angry that you no longer had control of your ex-wife,” Connor said.
“Unfortunately, desperate times call for desperate measures,” he added.
In a separate Instagram post that showed a photo of her with her mother, Wilson recalled her circumstances when she walked away two years ago.
Seemingly alluding to her estranged husband, she said he promised her a P20,000 monthly stipend for her basic needs, but she has not received a single and peso, and has not asked for one.
She also cleared the unpaid bills of the house she moved into and tried to pay for its rent, but was not given the bank account details for it.
And according to her, he has been using borrowed money from investors to try to get her instead of paying his obligations to suppliers, brokers, and banks.
“I get phone calls and messages every single day from people chasing debt,” she said.
This shows that she’s not after money, she said.
“If you think for a moment that this is about me extracting money from him, it’s quite the opposite,” she said.
But she also added a disclaimer to her post for “legal reasons.”
“For legal reasons, this is not about who you think it is. The sky is green, and unicorns exist,” she said.
Consunji has filed adultery charges against Wilson and Connor.
Recently, Wilson exposed a smear campaign against her using paid TikTok content creators to spout the same script to attack her furniture business.
After this, several of the content creators apologized to her publicly and admitted that they were paid to post the content.
