BUDGET and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman vows to continue providing needed budgetary support to key programs and projects of various government agencies as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. (PBBM) officially launched today, 23 September 2023, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair.
The national launching of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, which consolidates various programs and services from different national government agencies in one venue, was held simultaneously at the Municipality of Monkayo, Davao de Oro; Nabua, Camarines Sur; Tolosa, Leyte; and Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
“Magkakahiwalay man ang ating mga isla, pinagbubuklod-buklod naman tayo ng isang diwa at isang pangarap: isang bagong Pilipinas para sa bagong Pilipino,” the President said in his speech.
DAVAO DE ORO
Secretary Pangandaman, together with Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr., led the ceremonial turnover of items, programs, and services of national government agencies to the beneficiaries of Davao De Oro.
In her message, Secretary Pangandaman stressed that the said caravan is another crucial step towards fulfilling the President’s mandate of achieving bureaucratic efficiency and improved service delivery by bridging government services closer to the Filipino people.
“Mariing tagubilin po ‘yan sa amin ng Pangulo. Kaya naman para sa amin po, lalo na sa Department of Budget and Management, susunod po kami sa direktiba ng Pangulo na bigyan ng sapat at kinakailangang pondo ang mga mahahalagang programa at proyekto ng iba’t ibang ahensya,” Secretary Pangandaman said.
“At habang tayo po ay patungo sa direksyon ng pagbabago at pag-unlad, asahan n’yo po na kami sa pamahalaan na patuloy na makikiisa sa pagtupad sa layuning ito,” the Budget Secretary emphasized.
CAMARINES SUR
The President, who also serves as the concurrent Secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA), led the launching of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Nabua, Camarines Sur, where he handed over various farm equipment and motor bancas to the beneficiaries.
A total of 75 programs and services from 29 government agencies were prepared for the beneficiaries of Camarines Sur. Some 95,750 individuals are expected to be served during the two-day caravan.
“Nakikita naman po ninyo, full force ang lahat ng mga kagawaran at institusyon ng gobyerno ngayon. Mula sa pagbibigay ng tulong medikal at pangkalusugan, pinansyal, pangkabuhayan at pang-edukasyon,” the President said.
Representing the DBM in the Camarines Sur leg of the Serbisyo Fair was DBM Undersecretary for Information and Communications Technology and Chief Information Officer Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario
LEYTE
Meanwhile, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez led the launching of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Tolosa, Leyte, where some 52,342 individuals have registered.
“Tama po ang sinabi ni Governor Icot, noong nanalo si PBBM, ito po ang sinabi niya, na sana kung mayroon kayong ganitong klaseng okasyon, ‘Sana dapat ‘yung unang venue ay gawin po sa Leyte.’ At tinupad naman ng ating mahal na Presidente BBM. Sa totoo lang he (PBBM) is a son of Leyte. He is a son of Tolosa at proud na proud siya na nag-umpisa tayo rito,” House Speaker Romualdez said.
Representing DBM Secretary Pangandaman in the activity was Undersecretary Goddes Hope O. Libiran, who underscored that the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is a glaring testament that the government listens to the needs and works for the benefit of the people.
ILOCOS NORTE
Over in North, Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos III led the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in the city of Laoag.
“Natupad ngayon ang isang pangako ng pambansang pamahalaan na ilapit ang kanilang mga serbisyo sa mga Pilipino. Ang ‘Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair’ ay narito upang tiyakin na ang mga kailangang tulong ay makakarating sa bawat sulok na ating bansa,” Rep. Marcos III said.
Also in attendance was DBM Undersecretary and Principal Economist Dr. Joselito R. Basilio.
A total of 75,402 beneficiaries have registered to avail the services of the caravan.
