Manila enforces liquor ban for upcoming 2023 Bar Exams

admin September 15, 2023

MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan has issued Executive Order No. 24, which enforces a comprehensive set of restrictions in close proximity to the testing centers for the upcoming 2023 Bar Examination.

The order is aimed at ensuring a conducive and focused environment for examinees.

Under this executive order, a strict liquor ban has been imposed within a 500-meter radius of the San Beda University and the University of Santo Tomas during the specified dates and times associated with the Bar Examination.

These measures are essential to maintain decorum and concentration for the candidates.

Additionally, the executive order imposes a prohibition on the use of equipment that emits loud or disruptive sounds, including but not limited to videoke, karaoke, and powerful sound systems, during the same dates and times.

These restrictions are integral to minimizing disturbances and fostering a serene examination atmosphere.

a. Midnight of September 16 up to 10PM of September 17
