MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan has issued Executive Order No. 24, which enforces a comprehensive set of restrictions in close proximity to the testing centers for the upcoming 2023 Bar Examination.
The order is aimed at ensuring a conducive and focused environment for examinees.
Under this executive order, a strict liquor ban has been imposed within a 500-meter radius of the San Beda University and the University of Santo Tomas during the specified dates and times associated with the Bar Examination.
These measures are essential to maintain decorum and concentration for the candidates.
Additionally, the executive order imposes a prohibition on the use of equipment that emits loud or disruptive sounds, including but not limited to videoke, karaoke, and powerful sound systems, during the same dates and times.
These restrictions are integral to minimizing disturbances and fostering a serene examination atmosphere.
With these measures in place, Mayor Lacuna-Pangan seeks to uphold the integrity of the Bar Examination and provide examinees with the peaceful and focused environment they deserve.
Under the order, liquor ban is imposed within the 500-meter radius of San Beda University and University of Santo Tomas on the following dates and times:
a. Midnight of September 16 up to 10PM of September 17
b. Midnight of September 19 up to 10PM of September 20
c. Midnight of September 23 up to 10PM of September 24
Ambulant vendors are also prohibited within the same area of both testing sites from the following dates:
a. Midnight of September 16 up to midnight of September 18
b. Midnight of September 19 up to midnight of September 21
c. Midnight of September 23 up to midnight of September 25.
