THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Saturday after that Typhoon Odette has left the Philippine territory after making nine destructive landfalls in the country.
Pagasa said typhoon Odette exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 was earlier raised over the Kalayaan Islands due to Typhoon Odette.
Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 is hoisted over the western portion of Palawan at 11 a.m.
PAGASA has yet to officially announce whether storm signals have been lifted.
Odette was last spotted 380 km west northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan or 155km east of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan. It recorded winds of 155 kph and gusts of 180 kph as it moves westward.
Latest government data shows 12 were killed and over 338,000 individuals were evacuated after the typhoon’s wrath.

Odette made seven landfalls on Dec. 16 in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte; Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands; Liloan and Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte; and Pres Carlos P. Garcia and Bien Unido in Bohol.
On Dec. 17, it made landfall in La Libertad, Negros Oriental and in Roxas, Palawan.
PAGASA said Odette is expected to further weaken as it moves away from the country.
