DETECTIVES of CIDG Lanao Del Sur Provincial Field Unit together with other PNP operating units implemented a search warrant which led to the apprehension of a member of Maute Group in Brgy. Lakadun, Masiu, Lanao Del Sur.
CIDG Director, PMGen Romeo Caramat Jr. said that operating teams apprehended Acmad Casim, alias “Batang Criminal” for violation of RA 10591 issued by Hon. Alberto P. Quinto, Executive Judge, 12th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 21, Hall of Justice, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte on July 3, 2023.
While the other two subjects, Aminola Casim and Pandi Dimaocom Mama were able to escape arrest.
One Para Ordnance caliber 45 Pistol, one steel magazine assembly for caliber 45, two live ammunition for caliber 45 and two empty shells for caliber 45 were confiscated during the operation.
Likewise, an arrest warrant was also served against Acmad Casim for the crime of murder issued by Hon. Rasad G. Balindong, Acting Presiding Judge, 12th Judicial Region, RTC, Branch 11, Malabang, Lanao del Sur on September 30, 2014, with NO BAIL recommended.
“Si Acmad Casim ay miyembro ng notoryus na Maute Group, isang grupong terorista na nakipaglaban kasama si Omar Maute sa panahon ng karumal-dumal na Marawi siege,” said PMGen Caramat Jr.
The arrested person was brought to CIDG Lanao del Sur PFU for documentation and proper disposition.
“We will go after those lawless elements emerging as threats in the community in response to the order of the Chief PNP PGen Benjamin C Acorda Jr., emphasizing the implementation of an aggressive police operation, particularly on the Anti-Insurgency and Anti-Terrorism Campaign across the nation,” CIDG Director added.
