Sandhu’s court includes Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira (1st runner-up) and South Africa’s Lalela Mswane (2nd runner-up).
Sandhu bested other 79 delegates from different countries and territories to become Miss Universe 70th edition winner.
Sandhu draws her inspiration from her mother, who broke generations of patriarchy to become a successful gynecologist and led her family.
Driven to support other women the same way, Harnaaz grew up working with her mother at health camps addressing women’s health and menstrual hygiene.
Fereira works with the First Lady of the nation in different social aid programs focused on improving the quality of life of her compatriots.
