In his remarks, Zubiri said he has never seen a secretary of government that is very humble and low-profile like Garafil. “It’s the first time that media personalities in the Senate were fully supportive of your confirmation and nomination… If the media loves you that much, I think they know you more than all of us here and that you will be performing your duties very well. We know that for a fact,” Zubiri said.
The appointments body also confirmed the nomination of Manuel Antonio Teehankee as the country’s representative to the World Trade Organization, Rodillo Catalan as career minister, and Joyce Camacho as Foreign Service Officer Class-1. (Bibo Nueva Espana/ Senate PRIB)
