Bong Go withdraws presidential bid in 2022 polls

admin November 30, 2021

SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go on Tuesday announced that he is quitting his candidacy for president in 2022 presidential elections.

“In the past few days, I realized in my heart and my mind are contradicting my actions. Talagang nagre-resist po ang aking katawan, puso, at isipan. Tao lang po ako, nasasaktan at napapagod din,” Go said in an ambush interview in San Juan.

“Sa ngayon po, ‘yun ang mga rason ko. That is why I am withdrawing from the race,” he added.

“Ayaw rin talaga ng aking pamilya kaya naisip ko ay siguro hindi ko pa panahon ngayon,” Go said told reporters.

This came almost a week after he admitted that he was still waiting for ‘a sign from God’ on whether or not he should push through with his presidential bid.
