Extradition request na lang hinihintay: Quiboloy isusuko sa US

TANGING extradition request na lang mula sa Estados Unidos ang hinihintay ng Department of Justice (DOJ) para simulan ang proseso para ilipad at iharap si Kingdom of Jesus Christ Founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy na nahaharap sa patong-patong na kasong kriminal sa naturang bansa.

Ayon kay DOJ spokesperson Atty. Mike Clavano, tapos na rin ang imbentaryo ng kagawaran sa mga asuntong isinampa laban sa noo’y Presidential Spiritual Adviser ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Sa ngayon aniya, hinihintay na lang ang extradition request na magmumula sa US government.

“We haven’t received any request for extradition yet. Although, we’ve done an inventory of the petitions for review filed in the DOJ and we found three… two respondents siya, ‘yung isa ay complainant,” pahayag ng tagapagsalita ng nasabing departamento.

Bagamat una nang tiniyak ni Justice Sec. Crispin Remulla na susunod ang pamahalaan Pilipinas sa extradition treaty na nilagdaan sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa, kumbinsido naman si Clavano, gugulong lang ang extradition process ni Quiboloy sa sandaling umaksyon ang Estados Unidos.

“’Yung extradition will be initiated by them (US government) so on that waiting game muna tayo. We can’t extradite them kung walang request din. Just like the secretary said, ‘yung extradition is a bilateral treaty between two countries so that’s binding internationally and we plan to abide by the provisions of the extradition treaty by the US. We’re just waiting for the request for extradition,” paliwanag pa niya.
