
A TOTAL of 461 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 28 dependents have been repatriated from Lebanon with the arrival of the latest batch of 11 more OFWs today, October 14, 2024 at NAIA Terminal 1 in Pasay City.
The OFW repatriates received immediate financial assistance worth Php 75,000 each from the DMW AKSYON Fund and Php 75,000 from OWWA. They also received livelihood assistance worth Php 20,000 from the DSWD and skills training vouchers from TESDA.
The DMW expects more OFW returnees from Lebanon with the intensified efforts of the Philippine government to repatriate Filipinos to further ensure their safety amidst the escalating Israel-Hezbollah conflict.
