THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said shear line (tail-end of frontal system) will be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon while northeast monsoon will be affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Batanes and Cagayan, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The rest of Luzon will experience isolated rains and localized thunderstorms.
“Be alert on possible flooding, especially during severe thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather forecaster Grace Castañeda
said.
The Visayas and Mindanao, she said, will also have localized thunderstorms.
Flooding is possible during severe thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon.
Gale warning is in effect over the seaboards of northern Luzon (Batanes, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands).
Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
