The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Monday said the northeast monsoon is expected to continue bringing cold temperature particularly in Luzon including Metro Manila until next month.
Metro Manila recorded on Sunday, Jan. 16, its lowest temperature so far this amihan or northeast monsoon season at 19.7 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperature was registered at the PAGASA Science Garden station in Quezon City at 5:30 a.m.
The weather bureau announced the onset of the monsoon season in October last year.
According to Pagasa, the northeast monsoon is expected to continue bringing cold temperature particularly in Luzon including Metro Manila until next month.
In an advisory on Sunday, Pagasasaid the amihan would continue to affect Luzon and the Visayas, resulting in cloudy skies with light rains and rainshowers.
Pagasa said Mindanao, because of the shear line, is forecast to have cloudy skies with some occasional light rains.
